Welcome to Global Jabouble

Global Jabouble is the new home for my blog about my year living and teaching in Arkhangelsk, Russia. But soon, it will be much more. It will be a place for musings back in America, for translations and drawings, and all the other things I keep saying I’ll do. Stay tuned!

Here’s a map!

Arkhangelsk has a big red arrow pointing to it!

    Hi!

My name’s Brad Allen; I’m doing some research on the trans-siberian railway and came across your blog. I have my visa & flight/ferry tickets; I’ll be doing the trip on my way back to the US after 1.5 yrs in Bangalore, India.

I was wondering if you’d be up for a call, or free to provide some general guidance? I’ll be going from Vladivostok to Moscow by myself and am having trouble buying tickets!

    Other small world stuff though:
Have you seen the Richard Feynman NOVA video on Tuva? He was obsessed – even had it as his license plate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa6-rFv3F1M

Also, I’m from York, PA! I’m actually coming from Moscow to PGH for a friend’s wedding.
